Climate conversations

Build Resilience. Facilitate Change.

We are facing an ecological crisis that threatens what we take for granted today. Most of us when presented with information about the crisis either fall into a sense of overwhelm or despair (or cycle between the two)—these reactions prevent us from engaging and stepping forward to bring about the needed changes in our own lives and communities that can help secure a sustainable future for all.

Climate conversations are designed to:

  • Take a systemic view of the problem and associated risks
  • Identify and work with the understandable emotional responses (fear, sadness, anger, despair)
  • Take stock of assets and leverage points needed for change
  • Help you or your organization step forward as changemakers

See below for information about upcoming conversations. Interested in arranging a conversation for a company or group? Reach out to hello@caringcompassionatecoaching.com.

Facilitators

Lorna Mason, PhD, has spent much of her life attempting to make sense of herself and the world. This first brought her to conventional ways of knowing, culminating in a doctorate in sociology specializing in social theories of difference, injustice and the social movements that have tried to end injustice (or keep it in place). As conventional knowledge did not slack her thirst for understanding, she was lucky enough to find a zen Buddhist practice which for over 2 decades has provided ongoing healing, nourishment and a path for actualizing self/social liberation. Because of her spiritual practice she has been able to sustain nearly 20 years of environmental justice activism and education, planting seeds for embodied liberation and justice for all.

Dan Donohue, MA, is a coach, consultant, and environmental activist. He's spent nearly 30-years in education and educational media/tech, reaching tens of millions of children and adults around the world with themes of respect and understanding, social emotional learning, and environmental stewardship. He's spoken about the climate and ecological crisis at organizations, companies, and rallies as well as on street corners and subways.
