Why Caring Compassionate Coaching?

We all face moments in life when we feel stuck - on a project, in a job or difficult relationship, or, more generally, in life. How do we move through these moments in such a way that taps our innate creativity and marshals our skills and experience?

Developmental Coaching is more than acquiring new skills. Through a process of inquiry and curiosity, held with care and compassion, you learn to investigate an issue from multiple levels. What’s underneath it: what assumptions, biases, and points of view do you bring? And what’s above it: what does it look like from a different vantage point? This allows you to see all the contributing factors getting in the way of your objectives. Together coach and client map out activities designed to facilitate change and bring you closer to your goals and objectives.

Areas of expertise:

  • Leadership – being your best, managing yourself and others, change management
  • Mending relationships – working with difficult people
  • Career or job change
  • Finding purpose

About Caring Compassionate Coaching Model

The Caring Compassionate Coaching model is based on Adult Development Theory, positive psychology, and neuroscience; all of which confirm that we are capable of change—capable of moving beyond the strategies and habits we developed in early life that no longer serve us. Here are some of the tools we may use to bring about change:

  • Visioning allows us to see and feel things beyond our current point of view which helps provide a catalyst for change.
  • Mindfulness helps us come back to the present where we are better able to see thoughts, biases, and patterns of behavior that are unhelpful and get in our way. Developing present minded awareness gives us more agency in how we respond to life—less reactive and more proactive.
  • Compassion enables us to accept and care for our full selves—even those parts we might try and hide. Compassion for others can transform relationships; paradoxically, the more we put others first the more we benefit.
  • Somatics connects us to our bodies and the deep intelligence held within. The more we get in touch with the body and understand the messages it's sending, the better able we are to work with it: calm it, soothe it, love it.

We hold all of this lightly—the objective is to meet you where you are and help you move towards the life you want to live.
